With everything you know now, who is your ideal person on the Dem ticket? Are you still supporting Biden? Or are you wanting someone else and if so who is your preferred candidate(s) for the democrat ticket? And why?

No one was excited to vote for Joe Biden the last time. The last election was Donald Trump vs. Not Donald Trump, and this one is the same.

Is Trump a great choice, or even a good choice, for President? Not too sure about that, only time will tell.

However, the entire Democrat party is unfit to hold the office of President.

This thread is for people that plan on voting for a Dem ticket. Not for rehashing 2020.

If you're voting for someone on the dem ticket, who is your preferred choice? And why.

If you have nothing other than "not Donald Trump" we don't need to hear from you.

Then change your thread title because there are a lot of "anti-trumper" Republicans out there in the real world.

I can't stand him personally....but I think he had some great policies while he was in office before.    Our enemies also respected us under him.

One thing I liked about him was he was not a career politician....unlike all the other scumbags on both sides of the aisle fleecing us every chance they get.

As for OP asking the original question of this thread.     Good luck getting a rational response out of the lefties.

I worship NO man.

TDS is on both sides of the aisle, the “Orange Man Bad” Liberals and the “Trump is our Savior” amongst Conservatives.

Dems would vote for a dead Llama to keep Trump out of the White House. One-dimensional thinking at its finest-- all that matters is loyalty to your party and orange guy bad. You have arrived at a point of absurdity where you think this shuffling, semi-catatonic, stammering mess of an individual (Biden) should be commander-in-chief of the U.S. military when we're in near-conflict with a nuclear super-power. It's a cult.

Why can't I get a single Democrat to state who they would like to fill the slot or keep Joe Biden on the ticket? It's a pretty simple question. Who do you want to lead the country?

They are waiting for their MSM masters to tell them who to vote for.

I consider myself on the left side of the fence...but I'm close enough to it to lean on it and chat with my neighbor on the other side.  To be perfectly honest...I haven't seen that either party can put forward a decent person of integrity.

I've never ever gauged a president by how well I'm personally doing.  I always figured if the country was doing good then my boat would float with the rest.  I guess I'm a "One for all, all for one" kinda guy.  That's what keeps me on this side of the fence.Blush

Wait, I'm confused. You say you are a "One for all, all for one" kinda guy, but then you say that is what keeps you on the left side of the fence?

Plow, that's nowhere near an answer. Who is it you would like to lead the country. To just sit on the sidelines and watch the country slither down the drain, you're just as complicit. Take a stand brother! It's your country too! 😁

I didn’t know I was being opaque. If Trump is on the Republican ticket, I’ll be voting for whomever the Democrat is. I have no preferred choice. I would vote for a more moderate candidate from either party. If my choices are Trump or Biden, it’s Biden. I wish there was a better option and hope this is the last time these two run.

I'm not the best at being clear.  I tend to speak at folks my age and memory.  My point was what my old grandpa told me,". If you're gonna work with your hands and your back you're a Democrat...if you're gonna be a boss you're a Republican".

Back then you didn't "hate" the other side you just knew where they come from that's what you do.  But neither side was run by psychos or complete idiots.

I believe in the American Dream...if you got it in to get rich then hell yeah.  But I don't believe in getting rich by exploiting others...hence my left side of the fence stance.

This probably confused you even more.  Sorry man...I could do better over a steak and beer.  Gworm and I did and nary a cross word was said.Wink

So I wasn't going to challenge people on who they thought should lead the country. I just kind of wanted a read of where the left leaning folks were headed after the debate. However your position of having "no preferred choice" which many people have. But it brings up the question of why would anyone listen to your opinion if you actually have no opinion? When you advocate for your country, and your answer is "I don't care, I just don't like the other guy" What are you bringing to the table to engage in a conversation? Nobody will ever know what you want. It's not an interesting debate anymore.

Not trying to sound like a cool guy but I don’t need anyone to listen to my opinion on this one. It feels very much out of my hands and I don’t have any solutions for fixing it. What good would it do if I had a preferred choice for someone who won’t be on the ballot?

Let's say, hypothetically, there is a 3rd party that is equal to the Republicans and Democrats. If Tulsi Gabbard were their candidate, who would get your vote?

I think you are selling it short by not voicing your opinion of who you're preferred candidate is. I think that's a valuable discussion.

Anyone that can beat Trump.

Are you still supporting Biden?
Yup.

Or are you wanting someone else and if so who is your preferred candidate(s) for the democrat ticket?
I'd take anyone that could beat Trump, red or blue.

And why?
Trump calls the Democrats "DemoRats", Hitler called the Jews "JewRats", and history has shown me how dangerous a self proclaimed profit – sent to save a nation – while dehumanizes large swatches of people can be.

If it were MY choice I'd pick a Democratic leaning, retired General/Admiral of impeccable character for POTUS and I'd want him to choose a retired businessman with no political background as VP.  ( I don't care what color, sex or religion they are).  And they'd have to be friends enough to make decisions based on compromise.  Balance.  When the scales get too out of balance the whole thing goes to shit.  Did no one ever read a history book?

A lot of folks paid a lot to get this country on top...and it is.  Now we look like fucktards that can't pour piss out of a boot with the instructions on the heel.  I'm talkin' about both parties and wanna bes.

Running a country, especially this one ain't easy...that freedom thing is hard to manage.  I believe that preserving the country and it's ideals are priority one.

That's all I got.Blush

I was hoping you'd give an actual name. I have to think there are some people that have policies you think are better than others. But if every Democrat is of the same mindset that they don't care who on their party is on the ticket. What's the point of a converstation? I guess that's what made Nancy so effective. Nobody ever spoke out of the narrative. It's a very effective political model but how does that work to engage conversation?
