Tyla Rattray raced his last professional race at the USGP. Thor had a special jersey done up in South Africa's colors along with all of his professional racing numbers throughout his career to commemorate the moment.
Alpinestar followed suit with some one-off boots, including gold coloring, his nation's colors, and the year he won his MX2 World Championship.
Tyla's family and friends were waiting for him as he crossed the finish line and head back to the pits.
Congratulations on the great career Tyla. We do hear that he won't be going far though, as he may be taking a rider coach and trainer role for the Troy Lee Design's crew, where he would be reunited with his step father, Wayne, who's the engine tech/crew chief.
