I have to add a Dave Bickers photo.

Here is one of Malherbe out of shape in 86 at the Luxembourg GP. As smooth as he was you don't an opportunity to get a shot mom him like this.

You think KTM 4 strokes are fairly new? Here is a Factory KTM 500 4 stroke at the 86 Luxembourg GP.

Always liked this shot of Eric I took at Luxembourg GP in 86.

The great Namur.

This is probably the most iconic shot I ever took. Dave Thorpe crossing the Finnish line and winning the 86 World Championship.

Yep . I first saw that pic in the book "Motocross Techniques Training and Tactics" by Brad Lackey and Len Weed . I think it's 1966 and he's getting some pretty good air . I've been fascinated with that era of motocross lately .

I agree. At 67 and been riding dirt bikes since the mid 60s, I find the 60s world MX to be what I enjoy the most.

"Bob Hannah made his presence known in 1976 “like a hurricane,” according to Cycle News reporter Jim Gianatsis, who gave him his nickname. Yamaha took a chance on the 19-year-old Hannah, who had made a name for himself in the Southern California race scene at Saddleback, Valley Cycle Park and the Indian Dunes. Hannah was signed up to race the 125cc outdoor nationals but started out the year by winning all 5 races in the 500cc class at the Florida Winternational Series. But the first National of 1976 was at Hangtown, the Plymouth track, a long brutal circuit that would test everyone’s skill level and fitness. Honda’s Marty Smith holeshot the moto, he had won every moto the year before except the opener (Tim Hart won it) and no one gave Hannah a chance, especially when he went down on lap one and started nearly last. Before the 2/3 point of the race the Hurricane hunted down Smith and walked away. He won five of the eight 125cc nationals that year on his path to the championship. Thanks to MXA for the pic."

As they showed that pic up on the screen, Wardy said he mostly rode with Brian,  so I assume so.
