Bondos submission is in, props Aeffertz for the screenshot 🤦
That is the old start at muddy creek when it was a 90 degree right then uphill to what is now the first turn.that is why 411 and 157 a leaning right and all the others are going left.
That is the Mike brown, Chester "the molester" a name earned with his passing style, Chad lough was well known for doing a Doug Henry like crash over the big table top on the back straight at muddy creek when he got back to far on the bike and over jumped it by about 50'.
I helped the kizzars at a track they ran for awhile.the whole family was nuts and would have made a great reality show.
Kenny once tried to make a section into a double jump at their track in the middle of a race. Only problem was it required him jumping over a 20'+ high light wire. He clipped it with his rear tire and broke the wire clamp. He dropped like a rock and ended up with 2 black eyes.
And the writer, "hot rod" Todd Smith. He was from Massachusetts and didnt seem to like cali much. He ended up covering a bunch of stuff like the florida winter races and then the eastern sx races. He did some free lance photo work for supersports and answered phones and ran errands the week before the sx races too. Long story, we ended up at the Oklahoma city Supercross the year worldsports had "the amateur supercross national finals" in the middle of the week before the camel supercross, and nobody showed up. I would have had to wait until sunday to fly out and he wanted to go home after the event. I think he was done with mxa but cant recall those details. I gave him my ticket and i caught a ride with a racer who dropped me off in chattanooga. I think that was 1990. Did not hear much from todd after that.
If my stories had a few European dispatchers and strippers in them pro125, some would think it was you telling them.
Those were some great days for southeastern motocross.

This picture accurately captures the unbelievable intensity of Ricky Carmichael in outdoor Motocross.

Awesome roost shot. "In the cat bird seat" behind Stew 🙂
The question is...where is she today?
Laporte?
Ron Lechien and RJ
Laporte, Bob, and Burgett
Danny looks like Zacko!
Marty had the best physique of any motocrosser in my opinion!
Alright Great memory and stories. Working const around the DC area in 93. We went to a local race in Va. 125 A was hauling. 96 rd trip to red Bud a couple of the guys where pro am riders. They had some funny stories about the A riders mechanics.
Pit Row
The rider is David Vuillemin . The race was Unadilla NY . I think it was 2005 . I took the photo , skyshot tabletop in practice. The entire Yamaha team had black and yellow . The bikes, team clothing and riders gear. I got some photos that felt like they were taken back in the 80's or 70's that day of the Yamaha guys. One of Reed jumping out of the gravity cavity.
One of my favorite photos was taken by Jeff Cernic. Pastrana flipping, beside Doug Henry and Damon Bradshaw. It's probably on either Jeff's Facebook or pleasure valley raceway's social media. I don't do social media. Got kicked off lol!
Anyhow I was lucky enough to see it in person too.
That reminds me, I need to find my gapping tool.
I got a few shots of the Great Jobe in this 86 season.
Sweet 🙂
I love this shot I took of Magoo talking to Malherbe at Namur in 85.
Two greats, Geobers and Thorpe.
And Jobe and Nicoll.
I love this shot I took of Thorpe at the Luxembourg GP in 86. The natural terrain and country side.
Dave Thorpe again at Luxembourg 500GP>
This is a cool one I took at the 250GP in Holland in 86 of Jackey Vimond on the podium.
How about Vimond on the parade lap. Look how smooth the track is and how big the crowed was.
Behind the scenes. Andre Vromans in his last year I believe.
Or Carla putting a bandage on his arm.
or just looking mean.
Great stuff
