He's the one guy I wish I could have seen race in person. He had just started endorsing Puch when I bought my first magazines. I love that photo of him. Standing, crossed up wheelie in an off camber turn... He must not have gotten the memo that style like that wouldn't be innovated until 50 plus years later.
Iconic not only for the body position and the smash on that rear tire, but for the eye and timing of the shutterbug that made this shot.
