I feel like this Kawi situation is like Factory Yamaha in 2018/19. The stock bike was winning every shootout but the factory bike looked awful with Webb and Plessinger struggling every weekend. Star took over the 450 program and the bike turned around soon after. The most likely scenario here is that Factory Kawi is screwing up the bike. If Prado and Sexton both drop their multi year contracts year one Kawi needs to change management and or personnel of the team.

Honda: Been with the Lawrences for several years and through a chassis/model update. Had small problems, worked through them. Top of class. The majority jumped to conclusions last year. I held out and gave him the benefit of the doubt. I won't defend his actions, but I will say, everything he felt was obviously justified to some extent, considering how it's going for Chase. Jorge has been a different rider this year. Can't wait to see him unleash his outdoor potential. 38 vs 26 vs 18 might go down in history.

What an interview...the impression I got was that he was 'honest' in the way that he has no clue, they have no clue... the solution after testing 200 different settings is to test a few more... the answers he gave sounded like your 'typical manager who has lost touch with the business'. Those were answers I could give in an interview...wouldn't require any knowledge at all... You could tell when Chase qualified fastest in Q1 he wasn’t happy with the bike. He clearly did not want to be interviewed. Chase has zero conviction in his tone with his “choosing positivity” BS. He’s obviously frustrated and doing everything in his power to avoid the backlash Prado received last year. All things considered, I’d love to see what would happen if Chase went to Yamaha. Dan seems defensive and dismissive. Lars will give similar noncommittal answers when asked difficult questions but doesn’t portray himself as arrogant.

I said it in the other thread, Fahie is in over his head, has been since they hired him. He is completely unqualified for the job.

After listening to Dan, it feels pretty clear where the problem lies. Leadership with the team appears to be the problem IMO
