Did a little winter rebuild on my 250, enjoy! Engine and Carb built by me. Suspension by FCR suspension in Northern Ohio. Cerakoating on the typical stuff. 23.5 Ride Clamps with HPSD stabilizer, Swingarm stripped of factory hard ano. Galfer Lines Front and Rear. I don’t have a fancy vapor blaster, everything was done by hand as far as polishing and cleaning. Kept it as neat and tidy as possible.

Awesome bike! Give us a ride report with those triple clamps. I’ve been thinking about getting a set for my ‘11 yz250

I rode it Sunday. I will say the bike felt like it had more front end bite, but I also had a fresh front tire on it. I ran applied 24mm on my last YZ and liked that as well. If you’re running stock clamps, run 102-103 sag and slide the fork up just past the first line. I’m running 106mm of sag with the Ride clamps and it still turns great.

That said, good cornering technique and bike setup is where I would start. The YZ’s are great base packages and don’t take much to be great.

Thanks. Had a long winter to get it right. Learned a few things from my last YZ build that I wanted to do differently with this one. I’ve always enjoyed the minimalist road race look. Subtle but a lot of little details like wrapping the tank and specific hoses in heat reflective tape, aluminum fasterns in non weight bearing areas, matching black hardware, and making sure everything was as clean as could be.

PC pipe really wakes this bike up compared to the FMF I had on it. I was pleastly surprised and caught myself in 3rd and 4th on the majority of the track.

Awesome. Thanks for the good info. I’ve always felt my bike was a little vague at turn in.

It definitely came out badass!

What kind of power difference did you notice between the fmf and pc?

It has a much more pronounced mid range hit and pulls forever. FMF felt like a stock pipe to me. I’m running the longer Silencer as well.

What color did you do the outer case and how well does it match the Hinson cover? I really want to do mine.

To be honest, I'm not sure of the color name exactly as I sourced out the cerakoting to a guy I know, but black graphite rings a bell. It's a few shades darker than the cover itself.

Awesome build!!! So clean & great touches to detail ??

That PC pipe has such a pronounced midrange “hit” bc the bottom is soft compared to a stock or FMF so you really feel the big jump in power. If you want real midrange get a DrD or Bills pipe. Topend pipe is the PC. Best all around is the DEP ?

Thanks all! Been riding the snot out of it. Added a heavier flywheel and a v force. Put 15 gallons of 110 through it since I’ve finished it. Love this bike. Best handling bike I’ve ever owned.
