I would be happy to talk to you, it looks like a team bike to me. The countershaft sprocket has probably been changed but check and see if it looks like there was epoxy on the circlip, Eraldo always put epoxy on the circlip to keep it from coming out of the groove.
Also, the subframes were custom made out of titanium. Eraldo took some of the trick parts off sometimes before selling the bikes .
I bought the FBF CR125 that Travis Preston used to win the 2001 Houston Supercross several years ago from Larry Ferracci. It was in his garage at his house. It was the first Euro bike to win a 125 Supercross.
Give me a call sometime and we can discuss your bike. Let a message and I'll call you back.

It had ama tech inspection on the frame.
Hubs had initials on them, subframe modified and initialed, lots of safety wire, just a lot of signs that it was not an average owner or mechanic on it.
It also fell into normal hands and had some abuse/neglect.
I rode it a couple times and the engine was amazing. I don’t have any pictures of it anymore sadly. I paid 1200 for it if I remember right and then spent quite a bit of time undoing the neglect. It got sold to someone out west they had it shipped.
Was definitely a cool bike.
One I would really like one to

I purchased the bike from Larry a few years ago along with the original Cycle News ad and appropriate documentation.
This bike is the only Italian made Husqvarna to ever win a Supercross or Motocross race in the USA.
I plan to donate it to a museum someday.
Collector's value rarity most of all.

Off the top of my head this is what I recall. Brian Mcelroy raced the nationals in 1989 on Cagiva. Greg Zitterkopf raced the 500 nationals in 1990 for ATK. Lance Smail raced a Husaberg at some nationals.
Interesting how the 250 chain drive is on the right/rear-brake side of the bike, unlike the 125
Grant Langston was leading the 2001 Houston Supercross and Travis Preston was in second on the last lap until Grant crashed handing the win to Travis. Husqvarna became the first non Japanese manufacture to win a 125 Supercross in the USA.
Halls Husqvarna in Illinois would be my first recommendation for parts shopping. Also Bills MC Plus in Salem Oregon sold a lot of this era Huskys and stocked lots of oem parts. Motorsport Outlet has the parts fiche on their website. UFO still makes plastic, but they use a RM yellow color that doesn’t match OEM.
I would always see the Belgian SPES pipe on the 250s and the PC. I think it may have been PC in SX and SPES outdoors. They used the 2C pipe from England some too as a British team was really involved in racing the 250 in the GPs and had decent results with Carl Nunn and Paul Cooper. I believe you can still get a Doma pipe which is related to Sletchen/SPES. I think DEP has a bare pipe too. The 50mm forks may have been rarer in 01 in (JTs year with them) but later in 02 lots of them were trickling out to local supported guys or guys buying them through Ferracci. Hillbilly on here doesn’t come around much but he still had a set of the 50s a year or so ago.
Found out a few years after the fact that a French distributor used pics of me for their Husqvarna pages in their catalog.
