I tried to message one guy on the site that knew a lot the FBF bikes but he hasn’t gotten back and seems like he hasn’t been on in long time . I’m pretty much getting all information and help I could ever ask for from ToyTechCycle . He’s been really helpful with any question I have had and has really step up to help me out with more help and parts I didn’t think I would be able find or knew would be almost impossible to find . It’s because of him this is going be spot on when done !!

Can’t wait to see the CR all restored! I recently found this poster from 2001 and had to have it.

Can’t wait to see the build. I wanted to do the same but finding a Husky CR250 in decent shape is tough. Fyi, there’s a seller on ebay that seems to have team stuff. Some titanium engine bolts and whatnot. Even what looks to be used plastics with team graphics still on them. Although they look pretty haggard. Maybe it would be worth reaching out to this seller: whalenperformanceparts2014

Good luck!

Sometimes the bottom bolt hole is elongated to help with fit after head mods….
Yep. As I recall I had to do that on a CR250 (Honda) once after the cylinder was decked.

I have been looking at his eBay and plan on ordering a few things today or tomorrow. I wanted to do a build for so long but same thing never the right bike or time tell I seen this bike . I seen it was it rough shape but it had parts from the team already and knew if I was ever going have a chance to do one right it would be this bike .

Bit of free time at work today so
Polishing up the clamps and see the difference from the bottom one not polished. These were machined fast by Ferracci triple clamps that were on bike so want to save and get new bearings and seals for them.

This is my favorite thread on Vital right now.

It’s kinda weird… I had no real interest in Huskys during that era, but now I find them very appealing from a project bike standpoint. Just getting started on a TC610 myself.

How come your 610 is a ‘TC’?

To my understanding right now the abbreviations are:

TC= Two cross = two stroke Mx bikes
FC= Four cross = four stroke Mx bikes
TE= Two stroke enduro
FE = I’ll let you guess..

Husky MX 4 strokes were called TC‘s before they became white KTM’s in 2015. The enduro 4 strokes were TE’s. (Cross and Enduro).

Mx Husky 2 strokes were called CR’s….but for whatever reason KTM picked TCs to label their modern Husky 2 strokes.

Those abbreviations are correct for today’s huskys but not the Italian huskys.

I believe it was
Tc was Twin cam
Cr was close ratio
Wr was wide ratio
Sm was supermoto

And who knows if they even all were actual abbreviations

As they had txc and te which Were the cross county and enduro line.

I've got a few of FBF posters if you'd like them. Not in perfect shape, but not bad.

Just waiting for parts arrive and started looking at engine I took some pictures and sent them to a guy on cafe husky that has a few old mxgp race team bikes and he confirmed that my engine has the team porting done so pretty happy about that . Pretty much a dream come true never thought I would have a stock one never mind a old race team bike . I remember drooling over pictures of them as a kid . Can’t wait to have it built back to how it should be . She’s going be a garage queen can’t take chance wrecking parts I will never find again. I’m seeing how really hard parts are to come by . Scott at Toy Tech Cycle is the only reason this going be a legit build . Just shows how cool forums like this is to meet people .

Maybe stupid question but can you see any "factory engine work" inside the engine where we can learn something about?
