Demaria was another one of the weird Frenchies... Bit like Pourcel- when he was 'on' he was untouchable. But he had to be in the mood.

When I first heard about the money deal it sounded like he had basically stolen the money, but after listening that doesn't seem to be the case.

They call it real estate speculation for a reason, it's a gamble not a sure thing.
Yer buddy fife symington proved that. In a great economic setting dumb people can make money, in a shitty economy smart people can lose money. And they did.

I'd say he was the King of weirdness. But like you say, when he was in a good mood, he was a pleasure to watch. And he's a great and funny guy also.

I’ve got both season reviews and have worn them out. It’s no contest 93 Albee was on the better bike and a better rider, it’s an amazing season to watch and cool tracks also.

94 you could argue it had flipped, but Stefan compared didn’t get the breaks except the bad ones.
I've got the 94 season review also , in VHS lol. Still watch it sometimes. I like watching old moto when I workout. I've got the 95 season all 3 classes and the 99 open class. Hard to find some of the older gp seasons here in the states
so I search YouTube for them also.

Was always a fan of Albee. We had a goldfish named Albee and I have one of his jerseys with 111 on the back and has his 3 world championships in each 1. My mom absolutely loved him too. I can't wait to listen to this episode.

Great episode, great guy, his after moto life story is fascinating and incredible to hear. As classy as they come, can’t believe he’s been retired 20 years!

Loved the show very interesting indeed, was a big fan of Greg back in the day and even bought the VHS tapes of the outdoors to follw his American adventures. Can't believe I've not watched any before, looking forward to the Doug henry one.

But one big gripe. Please for the love of God invest in proper desk microphones instead of those stupid head sets. Listening to you all breathe and lick your lips etc just winds me up so much. Reminds me of that one friend we all have that eats with their mouth open ! Grrrrr
My favorite is Ping’s ice in his cup. Like fingernails on a chalkboard!!

Glad to hear he’s doing well. I get annoyed by overly preachy people too, but Greg’s classy about it and not doesn’t over do it. I didn’t think twice about it. I enjoyed his story about his mother’s dream.

Great podcast! Thanks GL and Ping!

Also, Ping, is there somewhere we can find info on the music you play during the intro/outro’s?
Not really, but I'll spell it out here. We used Volbeat last year and I absolutely love that band. However, we didn't have rights to use that music and attempts to reach them were unsuccessful. I'm friends with a couple of the guys in The Dirty Heads, the first two songs we use in the show now, and they gave us permission to use their music. The second two songs are Black Out by Sublime with Rome and Fire on The Horizon by Stick Figure. Again, we got permission to use those songs.
Troy Lee is friends with the manager of those bands, which is why you saw Cole Seely in one of Sublime's latest videos, Light On.

Anyway, I love this genre of music... check them out and thanks for watching/listening.

Yeah it had World Championship status but it was essentially a European championship.
