With Pourcel signing with them along with Blake Baggett and Mx2 world champ Tim Gaiser using them already, they must be top notch helmets. I have yet to see any reviews by any Moto site/ magazine yet so I was wondering about them. Has anyone tried them yet? I'm interested in getting one but want to see what others have to say first.

I know nothing about Just 1 helmets, but Rodney Smith, Stefan Everts, Greg Albertyn, the Vohland brothers, Mike Healey and many more wore Bieffe helmets in the '90's... they were not top notch helmets. Just Sayin'

The pros get paid to wear stuff. Doesn't mean it's the best. Especially the bieffe stuff lol.

The Airoh helmet is crazy light too... It feels like a bicycle helmet compared to my Shoei.

It seems to have a very large goggle port.

It feels a lot like the Airoh Aviator. And looks like one from the inside.

The top model is full carbon vacuum molded shell with cut outs for neck brace clearance, the cheek pads seem to fit small.

I was fortunate to pick up a Just 1 sponsorship. I was previously wearing Suomy which is very light and flows very well. The Just 1 is like a cross between the Airoh and Suomy. More Airoh styling with excellent Suomy air flow and very light. I love mine and highly recommend to others that are considering the higher end of the helmet lines...

Click on my avatar and enlarge the pic to see the color way I went with... Sizing matches Suomy and Shoei I believe.

I race hare scrambles for 2 hours and this is an excellent helmet to consider.

Homologated ECE 22/05

What are the testing requirements the helmets go through for that?

I have ridden in one, along with a Suomy MX Jump. The Just1 is heavier than the Suomy, 3.04 lbs for my XL compared with 2.66 for the Suomy. It did feel more stable. and a little more "premium". Long oval fit, sat "deep" on the head which I like. Big goggle port and interfaced well with a brace. Had alu screws for the visor which I do not care for. In general I liked it.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the input. I'd prefer Airoh but unfortunately can't get a deal on them as the shop I work for doesn't have a distributer that carries them. I think I'll go with the Just 1 though.

Hi Guys, since some time has passed from the start of this thread: any new input on Just1 helmets? Preferably the J12 model.
2/7/2017 1:44am
I did a quick google search and found this TWMX article about it. It is from 2015 though. There is alot of good things said about this helmet, i just wish i was more attracted to its design. Even though its half the price from the newer "flex" helmets, like Bell and 6D, i would look for one of those two. Even if i had to buy the last years model on sale, or buy it used from someone that had barely used it. Like Ken Roczen or Chad Reed said on some instagram post, you should give you head the best protection that money can buy. Well this is getting out of topic. Here is the link to the article i mentioned. http://motocross.transworld.net/news/just-1-j12-mister-x-carbon-product-report/#G18baTX2Eqf8zefY.97

I had a rep tell me that Airoh, Suomy and Just1 all come out of the same factory, which would make sense, similar helmets. similar weights and materials. Can anyone confirm?

Gasjer wears Fox now. I have no idea what Just helmets are like though.

I don't think so, although it's possible from a manufacturing standpoint. Just 1 is made by H&H Sports, and their website advertises Nitek, Origine, and Torc, but says nothing about Airoh or Suomy. Probably no connection:

I race with one. Just my general opinion:
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Sits comfortable
- Emergency release pads
- Big goggle port, but doesn't let sand through with Oakley o-frame, Progrip 3458 XL and Scott Hustle goggles.
- Enough ventilation, and room enough to breath and warm humid days.

Cons:
- Visor is a PITA to 1) adjust and to 2) remove from the helmet to wash. The visor used 5(!!) Allen screws, 2 on both sides and one on top. Just annoying to unscrew every single time.
- Not the best looking helmet out there - in my opinion - but neither is the 6D. The look kinda grew on me though.

Overall, it's a great helmet for the price.

been running one for a while - fantastic lid, decent safety, light, strong so far, superb overall internal, external design and graphics imo.

Are there better out there? possibly.

I have 2 Shoei helmets, 1 Leatt and 1 Just1 carbon helmet which i won along with a pair of Dragon NFXS2 gogglesWoohoo
The just1 is rather large in its sizes, but i definitely like it more than my Leatt and just as much as my Shoei's.
I hate heavy helmets so this is just up my alley.

I have been running a 2015 j12 for about 6 months and I like it, super light, and performance in every other area has been great. Is does have a different look but it's real similar to airoh so I don't know why it attracts so much hate.

I ate it good in the sand a few weeks ago, 4th gear swap. Whacked the left side of my head pretty good. Helmet offered great protection! I didn't see any stars and no headache afterwards. Granted it was soft dirt I went down on but I hit hard enough that it had a bunch a sand stuck to the side of the helmet.

I'd recommend it to a friend

My son has had a sponsorship for a little over 2 years. They are great helmets but we are still waiting for the 2017 styles.
