hi guys, i'm a huge "chicken" fan. he is my all time favorite 1990's era riders. i'm also a big helmet collector and this is one of my prized possessions. my jeff matiasevich 1990 outdoor national race worn troy lee painted #20 helmet. thought you might like to see it.

This photo right here is why I wanted and got a 92 KX250 and the 92 Fox gear. Chicken was the man! Has so much style and attitude! I even stripped the black paint off my stock pipe so it would look just like his bike!
Funny story...when I was in HS, I lived down the way from Chicken in Temecula. When I got my first custom painted helmet from AP Designs, I rode over to Chicken's house and his garage was open. I showed him my helmet. That first custom painted helmet had flames in the style Chicken had on his. He looked at it and said it was cool! ehe...I know lame story, but being 16 and having one of your riding idols say that was huge!

Not crazy, the gear looked cool on him. The shirt was baggy looking but ok. That gear sure was different from the rest.

If anybody could make xtreme gear look cool, it was Jeff. Looking back now, those Sidi boots look cool and that helmet rocked. Too bad that Suzuki was a turd back then, career killer.

Chicken had the style. I had the white and green RS Taichi gear in 1992. it was siiiick. i was 15 and would watch the Matazzatack video all the time. the end of the tape when he was clowning around ruled TBlaze needs to post the Im No Chicken video

I had the Shoei chicken replica helmet back in 96 if I remember right. Sickest helmet right out of the box bar none! After I wrecked in it a few too many times I tossed it away and had a new VFX 2 custom painted to look like it. Wish I still had that helmet. Sad

Chicken had some of the sickest TLD helmets ever. I starred at the pages of MXA, Dirt Rider etc. when I was a kid dreaming of seeing those in person or having one myself.

This thread reminds me why Chicken was my favorite rider at a very young age. He always looked cool and had such good style. Thanks for posting!
