It wasn't that long ago a brand new CR125 was $4,999.
Paid that for a new 06 kx450...lol...bike prices are crazy. I was plenty competitive on much older bikes and some I preferred to the new ones.

Just got a quote for $5499 OTD here in NorCal. I know it’s a new bike and I’d be ok at MSRP but I’m going to pass at that price.
What's the OTD price on a 2018 Husky or KTM 65 in NorCal?

#111 is a 65 big wheel, others are a 65 small wheel.

We have small and big wheels classes in Holland, 65cc and 85.

I'd be willing to bet the spread between MSRP and dealer invoice is less than or close to $ 500........Margin on kids bikes is zilch.
I want to say it was right at $499 when I looked at the price sheet. Freight was about $295.

"I see you were looking at 2018 yz65's. Id love to inform you I do have couple on order currently im just waiting for Yamaha to release them to us!! currently we are running specials on those for 3,999, after tax, title, freight & handling you're looking at 4,833 out the door w/ a 3% cash discount!"

So a 2018 YZ65 for $3999 Im going to buy one for my son!

I will never forget the amount of anguish my parents faced when they were shopping for my 1983 CR60 and every dealer wanted $600.

Our dealer ordered four of the YZ65's. His dealer rep told him he'd be lucky to get just one of them. Yamaha is not making too many of them. Heard a figure of 600 units total, not sure if that is accurate.

You can't compare pricing on these 2 bikes. The KTM is a much better bike because you can get a matching toaster.

Great to see another competitive option. Keeping the KX how it is another lower price option and a niche that can make them plenty. Not every parent on the line wants Johnny to win at all costs

lol....forgot about the toaster....haha

one of our local kids that racing 65's just got a YZ65, it's a sweet little machine. The thing sounds pretty cool and looked to have quite a bit of power stock.

Just picked ours up in San Jose yesterday. Bike is pretty sweet. Got a good deal on it and Yamaha has a 0% for 6 months financing deal right now.

Nice! When you say good deal though are you saying that you got it below MSRP?

Be careful not to exceed that 6 month term.

Saw two at a local dealer. One was tricked out with GYTR bits. Got to say they look even better in the flesh. Makes me want to be a kid again

We have just started playing with one Smile

My son has just turned 7 so another good 5 years ahead of us in the 65 class here in Aus if we want.

Might do a couple of local races in the coming months, more so he can just get out there and ride instead of racing the 50 and waiting around for ages for another ride, amazing how much quicker a kid gets tired when they have nothing to do!.

got to have a ride around with him on Sunday, nothing beats riding with your son.

My 1981 YZ80 was $700.00 OTD. That was a lot money that my parents really didn't have. I was a typical, clueless 11 year old kid. I had no idea as to what a sacrifice it was for them. They were broke but, wanted me to be happy.
