I don't know how the lobby features are on console but on PC if there is any online games in progress you do not see them until they end the race. If they had actually set it up to where you could see games in progress and join em via que it would be great. I'm still dumbfounded as to how the development team dropped the ball on this one.

If EA or Rockstar decide to do a MX SX game I'll buy it, until then I'm done with Milestone.
Rockstar games will never make a racing game. That's just not the type of games they do. EA did so in the past but I don't think they'll get back into it until Supercross as a sport grows to the point where they have strong numbers and is regularly playing on a major TV network.

That said one developer that I would love to see take a crack at an MX/SX game is Codemasters. They're the ones behind the F1 series, Colin McRae Rally, Grid Autosport, Dirt 3 and 4, etc.

I'll be buying both. But I will not be surprised if I enjoy all out more. On paper milestones game is better, but once you start beating the realistic AI easily it gets boring, especially with the crappy animated whip/scrub. I was stoked to get MXGP3, and I thought it was the best motocross game I had ever played, until a month later when I put mx v atv encore back in my PS4. Since then I've played MXGP3 maybe twice. Nothing beats creating your own style, because if there's one thing the average motocross enthusiast can't do irl, it's hit big jumps and throw massive whips. mx v atv encore lets me do this.

i'm getting both, but i'm also getting impatient waiting for some shots and info on the Track Editor as well as anything besides the music on MX vs ATV.

no internet yet. my house and 2 others in my entire neighborhood are deemed "un-serviceable" due to the distance from the main lines. bunch of bullshit if you ask me. service guy forgot to torque before he came over i guess.
Let me get this straight. You live in a neighborhood meaning you have neighbors located fairly close to you and yet you along with two other neighbors can't get service because of the distance from the main line? Makes no sense if you ask me considering everyone else in the neighborhood have internet/cable service. If you have cable TV at your place there's really no reason why you can't have internet.

Does that mean you and the 2 other will have to pay a fee in order for them to bring the service to your place? That could get really costly depending on the distance.

Maybe satellite internet could be an alternative option?

My guess as to why we haven't seen more details on the track editor is they're probably trying to figure out the best way possible to showcase it on video. They could easily release information via text/website but that's not exciting. That along with the fact that they are still trying to tweak things on the game before it's released is why I think that info has been delayed.

As for MX vs. ATV All Out and the lack of info it's a bit surprising to be honest. I honestly expected a video to be released before X-Mas but nothing so far. There's always tomorrow I guess? If not I suspect they'll release something in the first week of 2018. It was originally supposed to launch in January of 2018 but the lady in the TWMX Mini Majors video said probably closer to February or early February. Not sure releasing it around the same time as Milestone is a good strategy in my opinion.

They push it back pretty far i think there best chance of selling the most games would have been to release it before mes

Place holder date. That's not the release date. A place holder date is when the developer hasn't given the retailers an exact release date. All they gave was Q1 of 2018 which runs from January to the end of March.

With some games all they give the retailers is the year. For example they'll just say we plan on releasing it sometime in 2018 so the retailers start advertising it but will put a place holder date of 12/31/2018 in their system or online/website. In fact just take a look at the two other games posted in your screenshot. Small chance those 3 games will be released on the same day.

Do a quick search you'll see what I mean. Roncada himself said the release was in January and then the lady that was at the TWMX Mini Majors for the MX vs. ATV team said it would more than likely be around February.

Well for the ones buying All Out, hopefully the "release day" is better than when they released MX vs ATV Supercross. When Supercross came out, I drove to Best Buy, Target, two Gamestops, and two Wal-Mart's and nobody had it. Their Facebook blew up with people unable to get the game anywhere. It was a massive fail.

To the original question, I already pre ordered Monster Energy Supercross. Might buy All Out when the price drops.

Personally I think there's a reason they have been staying quiet. Not sure if it's good or bad but there's a reason behind it. Whether it's finalizing last minute deals or doing last minute touch ups on the game I have no clue.

They did say they have the biggest roster of riders they've ever had. That said it's not that surprising considering they have MX, ATV's and UTV's in the game.

I'm buying it regardless as I can't see myself strictly playing supercross over and over for a year or more. I need diversity. I didn't enjoy their last few releases but this one looks promising.

Has Nordic even released actual gameplay yet? I didn't think they did. If that's the case then how does it look promising?

No gameplay yet. Promising because they moved from their in-house gaming engine over to the Unreal Engine 4 platform which is arguably one of the best gaming engines available on the market today. That's the same engine Milestone has used for MXGP3 and the new Supercross game.

The Call of Duty franchise uses that gaming engine.

Doesn't mean the game will be perfect. The engine is only as good as the developers using it but it's a step in the right direction for the franchise.

Physics are apparently supposed to be a mix of Alive and Reflex. The game is completely new from the ground up.

And there he is. Always has to be someone that drops the whole MX Sim game into every MX vs ATV or Milestone thread.

Oh and good for you.

Me paying money 100% depends on if the multiPlayer match making works. I lie, I'll buy them anyways but please let the multi player find games.

I've still never been able to get online games going for either franchise. Sure we race bros but should be full gates of randoms.

I'm not sure which games you play but the Unreal 4 Engine is average at best. The only reason why a lot of developers use it is because it is one of the easiest. THQ/Nordic is a shit developer that hasn't made a quality game since the ps2 days. I'll pass.

Is it even necessary to buy another "copy" of SIM? Isn't it the same shit with all of the snapshots up to date?

You and I must be in the minority because the ability to whip, scrub, and jump with my own style is a huge aspect to why MX vs. ATV is more fun. There are definitely things it can build on to be better all-around, but I really hope they keep the free flowing ability to control the style with the new game engine.

That's really it for me at the end of the day. Mx v atv just has so much more playability due to this fact

Nordic sure has done nothing to try to convince customers to buy their new game. Not shocking, for them. But man, just bad marketing especially in comparison to Milestone.
