If KR pulls the holeshot and Eli and Webb are at the back he could win today. Probably won't happen but that is how Kenny is.

And one major problem for Webb and KR can still win the series. It has happened before to others. I think Kenny bounces back tonight with a good race.
To be honest, I just hope Webb has a mechanical. I hate saying that shit, because I know it's a shit way to get everything close again...but just one shit night. Come on Webb...just...break some spokes, a chain...flat tire...something!

Why? The best dude is winning the title. It's over IMO.

He could win or get 10th and it wouldn’t really be surprising. Let’s just hope he does the Nationals and It least has a few good days where he is “on”. We never got to see the “ultimate” Kenny. With nearly 20 SX wins and Multiple 450MX titles it would be hard to say he didn’t make the right choice coming here stateside but if he would have stayed in the GP’s I wonder how far he could have pushed the MX game forward assuming no injuries.

I really didn't think he had that in him, hats off! But he did win one of the Salt Lake City races last year when most of the other races went horrible. So i'm still in the "wait and see"-phase. He's still trailing Webb and needs to back up this result the coming weekend.

It would be awesome if he can do it, i thought this was over.

Being a Honda rider myself I can attest to those conditions being the absolute worst case scenario for that bike regardless of how good the factory can tune them! Hard, slimy dirt is kryptonite for that bike more so then dry hardpack. His fastest lap time right at the end is probably because the track had dried out the most to offer some traction. Kenny can’t seem to push through when the bike isn’t working for him

Gee what do you know, factory Honda made MASSIVE chassis changes to get Ken comfortable and he gets the W. But I guess I’m just the acetone sniffer huh

It's an expertly disguised 97 CR 250 chassis with the 450 engine wedged in . Works good for Kenny.

Now just give back the 7 point Kenny lost at the beginning of the season and have a fight for the championship

Not arguing just proving a point. Coming in randomly and shitting on someone’s post calling them a chemical sniffer for having an opinion that’s different to yours is ridiculous.

He had a 16pt lead at one point. If he didn't fall apart like he always does we would have a fight for the championship

Doesn't say much your only hope for Roczen to win is rooting for Webb to have mechanicals

when Reed was on his Two Two motorsports, he wanted his lower front fork lugs to be thicker.. they wouldn't do it and he was finishing top 5. Goose finally was able to make it happen and that when reed become a real title threat against RV. Unfortunately that crash with Kenny n the whoops cost Reed that year.
But some riders who know the bike well, the little changes make a huge difference.

Reed and Ricky spoke about it on Gypsy about how riders just get on and ride the bikes now in the era. where they would know everything about the bikes inside and out prior. that's not my opinion, that's what they said hahaha

Webb clearly is not liking the ATL track. His fade after a good start was very unusual. Probably won't happen again.

Kenny has to pull the start to win like that.

Eli seems to not care much at times...he gave up at the last part of the race after making a small mistake trying to pass Webb. I guess he has earned that right though.

Sexon...poor Chase...he will not be allowed to win a race now if it involves having to pass Kenny.

I agree. The interviews with many riders now show how little they actually know about their setup or the details around it. It is crazy to me they are able to ride so fast...maybe the ability to turn their brain off?

The bikes do everything so well these days that I think it’s hard for most guys. Reed sounds like a rarity in his ability to tell minor differences.

Honda team tells pit reporter they made major chassis changes on kens bike but your saying they didn’t really change anything because it wasn’t a mechanic from the team saying it. Ken wins by a mile after looking horrible in previous weeks. Dunno what to tell you mate

It did come via the team through the pit reporter

They said Sexton made even larger changes I believe.

Take off the tinfoil hat.

Do you suppose a lot of it is just "mental"...and having something done that a rider thinks would make a massive improvement, but in reality improves little or nothing, still instills the belief in that rider that he has the "edge" over the competition because of the mods? It's the placebo effect...

Maybe, maybe not...but I think that in the 70's-90's a lot of factory guys came up working on their own bikes or having their Dad as their technician, and learned an awful lot about how they like a bike to work and what to do in order to make it work like that. I agree that probably a lot of riders now probably just jump on the bike and are content with whatever seemed to work pretty well the last time.

Kudos to Kenny, BTW! Whatever secret sauce Honda did or didn't put on the factory HRC Honda seemed to work for him.

Lol so if they said the changes were a gold wheel instead of a silver one you would believe that too eh? Kenny posted on social media the difference was a change in mental attitude ... something most sensible people here already thought that was what was needed
