"We got into a crash with 2 laps to go"? Stop with the "we" thing. "We" did not crash. I don't know who got that started but it's pretty annoying. Their PR people need to have a talk with them. It just sounds dumb. Regardless, that was a big get off. He's pretty lucky, he could have gotten hurt pretty badly.

Heard some local say guys crash on that jump all the time. Seems pretty unsafe to leave it there. Kid was cruising in 11th with no rear brake, impressive debut.

Seems like something isn’t adding up. 20+ minutes into his first outdoor moto, running 11th place & he thinks it’s a good idea to try a jump that nobody is doing all day with no rear brake? That was definitely not the move IMO!

100% a rookie move, it always takes a dumb crash or two for them to figure out. Needs to learn to ride smarter and don’t try shit you would do at the practice track.

He also learned how crazy it is when you don’t start up front. He has been use to getting top 5 starts all his career. Now he needs to learn how to ride when you come around 15-25.

Huge learning day for him.

I don't think the video does it justice either, he hit HARD. I got lucky and managed to get the whole sequence of the wreck after he started to go over the bars.

I'm glad he's okay, and I'm excited for his future. He truly impressed me today

The videos are out there Chance Hymas was doing the jump during the scouting combine. Other guys were doing it as well. Deano was the first a couple years ago.

Happened right in front of us. I honestly was surprised when he sat up. It was an extremely violent crash. The bike was toast afterward.

All you gotta do is slow down if you don’t wanna crash. Pro moto is hard and the track are tough too.
