I've never seen snow on Glen Helen before. I think MXA would suggest to add a tooth in the rear for the fresh snow

Very cool....

It is damn cold here... it's been hailing the last couple of days in the lower San Diego areas.

My old boss had a place at Lake Arrowhead for years that I've been too many of times. But the 4 years I lived in Socal I have never seen Glen Helen get snow while passing it, and yes I stopped and checked out Glen Helen anytime I was in the vicinity. I'm also not living in Humboldt anymore, but one of my renters sent me these pics taken right off the coast. Pretty cool.

Hottest winter in the northeast on record. It was 70 today in Philadelphia. Crazy that Glen Helen will get more snow than my local tracks, we’ve had zero snow this year.

I remember it being freezing at Cahuilla in the winter, but never snow!

I drove through Glen Helen this morning before sunrise on my way to Mammoth. It was snowing like crazy! Super sketchy going up Cajon pass. All I was thinking about was the track getting snow, crazy!

Wild. And this has been the mildest midwest winter I can remember in my lifetime. We've only had 1 really cold week, I was wearing a t shirt outside the other day.

Pretty cool. I remember riding Cahuilla in December of 2002? or 2001 with snow everywhere besides the actual track.. DV was there on a factory Yamaha 250, Hughes was riding a KTM 125. I was a 15 year old on a 125, parked the bike.. threw snowballs with some friends while those guys rang those 2 strokes out.

nice that you made it through, Cajon pass has been a MESS all day according to family back there. Mammoth is probably ALL TIME right now. Enjoy

At the same time, there have been temps in the high 60's in mid-February in the snowbelt of the northeast. Many of the ski slopes are in rough shape and there are major trials that that I haven't been able to ski in recent years because of not enough snow. The record warm temps this winter go all the way up to the Artic circle.

In the past you might have had a warm winter for a year or two, but have not seen anything like this trend in my almost 64 years.

The global warming is causing the really wacky weather and that causes the "climate change"

Man, that is really something! Pretty wild. I wonder if it will still be there for this weekends races.

You're not lying. I was born in Pittsburgh and moved out to California in 1989. My sister and brother in law moved to Newton, NH and when I went out to visit for Thanksgiving. She told me to bring warm clothes and I was like om did you forget where we grew up? I wore a beanie, long sleeve thermal, and a Shift windbreaker on the flight out. Then I walked out of the Logan airport at night and realized I messed up. I went to the Northface store the next day and bought a heavy winter coat. New England winters are no joke, but they are pretty amazing too. I love the East Coast.

I would not say Indiana has had a particularly cold winter, but we had frozen ponds off and on starting in November. I remember it being in the 70s in December more than once in the late 90s/early 00s. Winter seems to come earlier and harder than it used to, peter out in the middle (mid Jan to late Feb) when it used to be really cold and then come back to take some shots in March.

The weather changes, and it is a big cycle that takes longer to complete than any of us will live. You should not trust any scientist that claims to have it figured out.

It is supposed to snow down to 1,000' here in SoCal. None yet here in my town at 1,400' but I keep hoping. It would be cool to see.

I was supposed to ride the Soboba trail ride this weekend. Bailed. I can ride snowy trails out of my back yard. I drove south on hwy395 a couple of years ago. Past Mammoth the road was black. Between Bishop and Lone Pine, blizzard conditions with a couple inches of slushy, really sketchy snow on the road. Weird.

That's nuts.  Elevation can't be any higher than 1500' ?

Anyone-one got a GH pic from this morning…?

It’ll be a bit whiter.
