Hearing now that the lawrences are having a hard time with the frame on the new crf and seeing how basically everyone hates the new ktm… it brings back up the same question Ive had forever. Why do these companies always feel the need to make massive changes to platforms that are working great? Before the most recent redesign ktm had been doing years and years of smart refinement to the platform. Every year they were tweaking a little here, shaving a little there, adjusting a couple mm here. Then when all of it has really truly paid off and their bike is at absolute peak form they tear up everything, throw it in the trash, and introduce a whole new frame.

It seems like these brands are changing things just to say they changed things. Its biting them in the ass though. Keefer just showed a few months ago that most ppl actually like the 07 crf the best. Maybe they should only be changing the things that need to be changed like making more power. If the public demands a refresh they can always redesign the plastics. Think of how much it costs ktm to redesign everything for the new bike. They have to change the entire production line. All of that money lost to end up with a worse bike. Maybe just like the phone upgrade yearly cycle no longer makes sense the needing the brands to completely change everything every few years makes no sense. This obviously isnt the reason why ktm is going bankrupt, but theyre going to have to fix a lot of problems and the production line is definitely going to be a part of that.

Buying into marketing hype is the essence of motocross. Do you know anyone that buys stickers, hats, shirts, etc. so they can be a billboard for a brand that doesn't know they exist?

lol, calling someone triggered is weak behavior, adds nothing to the discussion. Got anything substantial to add? Maybe just a humble, eh I was wrong. It won’t kill ya dude.

There is no discussion if you constantly try and take things out of context to make someone look bad. That is what adds nothing.

Don’t they still do the “Government Receivership” thing over in Austria?

My take is I didn’t take things out of context. At least I don’t think I have.

Does this help, or hurt, the odds of a Japanese 350?

Instead of a lame meme, why not try to explain what you meant then?

Seriously bro, not to be a dick but it's pretty annoying that you always claim to be the smartest guy here but can NEVER own or explain what you said when somebody calls it out for being wrong.

Help us understand.

What are the implications for the current dealer network, aside from the obvious?

To each his own, some guy name Profeshional encouraged me to invest in CR125's. I have my retirement staked on their value increasing in the next 20 years.

That is the playbook. As soon as he has to hold two thoughts in his head at the same time and try to explain himself he freezes and posts 1 of maybe 5 memes in his arsenal.

You took a replay from another thread and somehow thought I gave you the wrong answer to a direct question. If that is not taking something out of context I have no clue what is.

The only thing taken out of context is the stock jumping $3 and you assuming it meant they found an investor, or ktm thought they did.

Just what is it you claim I am so wrong about so I will know if I should admit it or not? You have extremely vague about it.

This is very common when companies are in trouble. A lot for crazy trading and wild price swings happen because deals go on and off the table behind closed doors. I hope that helps you put my comment into proper context.

Touche. I have a couple of Tara Geiger Loretta Lynn's spec double boost port cylinders buried in my yard next to my coffee cans of cash.

I wonder if KTM employees have company retirement plans that are stock based?

In accordance with their restructuring agenda, Pierer Mobility is going to trim their US dealer network to one location.  Starting December 1st. 2024, all orders and remittance need to go through Varner Motorsports.

What you are describing is blatant in the open insider trading, which I suppose is possible but ballsy. I doubt that’s what’s happening, I think likely its institutions pumping it a little to get retail investors to buy back in and they leave them holding the bag.
