According to a recent whiskey throttle show I learned that star runs their amateurs riders on stock motors. Supposedly they are the only ones to do so. With that being said, I guess this would be the top team amatuer bike to purchase. I just thought this was neat so I thought I would share. We don't see things like this in central Illinois. The closest thing we get is Chase Sexton riding Sunset Ridge MX in the offseason. Cheers

$41k is a lot, but it is a top amateur bike. Always wondered if the price covers suspension being tuned for the buyer.

Some privateers are running close to top 10 in the nationals on pretty much stock bikes. $41k is a lot of money to get you through the season.

There are zero privateers running towards the front on a stock motor 250f.

What’s even more crazy is that $41k bike ain’t going anywhere near a whole season before that motor needs cracked open.

That's why you should buy bikes like this in bulk.
*adds 10 of them in shopping cart*

Yes indeed on your 2nd sentence, it would be a big part of a budget for a season over here at least.

Assuming you only buy such a bike for a rider who can get most out of this bike: We would be happy to get in touch with any rider having the budget to buy this bike (and the rebuild costs every couple of hours) and discuss a deal for an EMX season or a bunch of wildcards in GP's. Smile

Crazy this is what other kids are up against at lorettas. Ryder D is a fantastic rider, but has been groomed and been on the best equipment since age 5. Always makes me wonder if the money spent on one amateur was spread around more, other kids would shine and we wouldn't have kids who have had a huge equipment advantage fizzeling out as when they hit pros where the equipment is more equal.

“Pretty much” stock bike. Masterpool, Natzke bikes are not $41k rigs.

That is probably retail price for the entire Pro Circuit catalog thrown at it. A lot of that stuff is not necessary to be competitive. Engine plug kit, shift lever, clamps, hoses, Ti engine mounts, pegs, clutch cover, brake clevis, graphics, and on and on. You can build a competitive bike with engine mods, ecu and suspension for half of that price.

Stock 2022 KX250: $8,000
Showa A-Kit Suspension: $10,000
Works Engine Mods: $10,000
Ti-6 Exhaust System: $1,500
Hinson Clutch Kit: $2,000
Galfer Rotors & Braided Steel Lines: $1,000
Misc Farkle: $2,000
Works Chassis: $???? (I'm very curious what exactly a "Works Chassis" is comprised of besides custom motor mounts).

Seems way over-priced. What's odd is they are also charging tax. It's a used off-road vehicle, so why would tax be applicable here?

Surely there's some dad somewhere along the road that doesn't really have any interest in being in the industry.
