You are partially right. Some of the things are a distraction from the important picture. There is also legitimate exchange of ideas (bitching) about what our US government is doing. So it will spin off a bit into how we got to where we are and which president has fault and why. But getting into topics that are unrelated just because someone doesn't like a past or current president is an unwelcome distraction.

General Observation discussed with you & certainly NOT "at" you...

I didn't see anyone defending Nazis. I saw arguments over implication, association and...of-course..."assigning teams". Oh, and as usual, context was lost on or by everyone based on the way it was thrown out there or the way they "took it" to begin with.

I, for one, have taken to the "entertainment value" of many of these things. Especially when it becomes a repeat or repackaged representation of one side or the other's "mainstream" argument.

A friendly observation: the way some folks say or "'type" things at or towards people they don't actually know has, also, become almost comical. I truly believe some of these guys shouldn't conduct themselves this way if they EVER go down to the Dallas/Ft Worth/Arlington Greater Metro. But, if they do. I think we should claim The Chophouse in Arlington as Neutral Territory and politics can only be discussed if my friend, Jim Ross, is present as a moderator (Think of a young Rodney Dangerfield...but, as a Texan).

Again, this is NOT at Dave. It's an observation of how some folks communicate 'round h'yar.

Is it just me, or does anyone notice anything strange regarding the news coverage of this war? Like, no war frontline correspondents?

I can only assume that Ukraine does not really allow free press of any type.

Something strange about reports of most intense shelling of Kyiv since start of war being reported on fox, yet Live video images show essentially nothing going on, people walking dogs in background a guy riding his bike no air raid sirens, cars driving around, no smoke in background.

Correspondents pretty much filming from a balcony same shot almost daily. Quite different from usual coverage of any war in my lifetime. Just seems strange that the news doesn't act like this is odd or even tries to give an explanation.

Almost every press personal from different news stations have been taken out from Kyiv because it was getting too dangerous.

Yeah, I could understand if this was some new phenomenon to the coverage, but it is not. Been like this pretty much from the beginning. Now if there was gunfire bombs smoke in background, war planes flying overhead, rockets etc,
I could say yes, too dangerous to be outside.

But they say it is live, and all I see are cars, people walking dogs etc. no signs or sounds of anything abnormal.
next time I am gonna take a picture of what they are showing, it is very odd. Is that what your coverage looks like?

When they do show soldiers or footage it looks more like training exercises, guys, in clean fatigues, shooting ducking, meanwhile people in background walking around in open, standing, not really concerned, lol.

I have been watching wars in the US on tv since Vietnam. I have never seen coverage like this. Strange. My thought is Ukraine is restricting what foreign press is allowed to do, and for some reason, the US news isn't allowed to report it either. My guess is they would throw the foreign press out or worse.
