Just got word that my replacement 240V cable has been shipped out already, to arrive by Monday. Talk about excellent customer service, wow! They immediately provided a resolution to this. Love it.

I would hope customer service is top notch seeing as there is only a handful of bikes to support.....

You can hate on Suzuki all you want, leave the Stark alone.

I really could care less what it weighs. The majority of guys on here complaining about bike weight are the same guys who could/should lose 20lbs instead. Rofl 🤣

sorry for your reality check, but unless this thing weighs like 300lbs it literally does not matter.

I completely agree, Stark's aren't bound by physics like all other bikes.

Have not see anywhere but is the bike like a cordless drill, you hear nothing till you pull the trigger and does it turn off when you let off?

Gas weighs 6lbs a gallon, do you notice the 12lbs difference between when your bike is full or empty? That weight is way higher and more noticable than 15lbs on a low battery would be also.

You guys worrying about the weight so much really need to ride an electric bike of some sort and then re-evaluate, it's not much more than a 450 with a full tank of gas and feels significantly lighter on the track.  You can't just read spec's on the internet and determine how a bike handles.

The 2023 YZ450F weighs 242lbs wet (and 232 lbs with no fuel)...the stark is close to 10% heavier...moving parts in the engine or not, that's a lot heavier.  Trying to diminish that weight difference is disingenuous.

The stark at 240 would have been something special...to bad they'd of had to sacrifice to much battery performance (power and/or battery life) to keep the weight that low.

And that YZ450F is nearly 10% heavier than a YZ250T, but most folks choose the YZ450F of the two due to its broader torque curve.

So, what happens when you let off over a jump, does it nose dive?

You do know your cordless drill has an automatic brake mechanism, right?

The engine braking on the Varg is controlled by the motor controller which you can add more or less braking on the tuning system. You could (in theory) tune it for less engine braking, and therefore less dive than a 4t,

Unless you are riding painfully slow on your gas bike, it is not like chopping the throttle sets your rear wheel speed instantly to idle time final drive. That is determined by the inertial forces of the drivetrain, and the amount of engine braking/friction/traction it is working against.

And thats exactly why I have BOTH! 🤪

I love riding my crisp ol’ 2-stroke every chance I get! Sometimes it is just MUCH easier for me to go “the fastest” that I can go on my 4-stroke too!

When time/opportunity & budget allow, I will do everything I can to get a Varg and then I can ride it on a track on my 20 acres or ride the 45 acres my brother has nearby without pissing off the neighbors!

I feel very fortunate to be able to have my own property & multiple rigs, AND… I simply LOVE riding dirt-bikes! I will be happy to ride whichever type of bike best fits the situation and riding that I hope to do on a particular day! 😎 👍❗️

Looks good with the hand guards. Pretty close match on the red.

Hope you get to ride it this weekend, I'd be frothing. You'll probably get swarmed with lookers at a track haha.

I love it!

I'm all about electric bikes...they aren't practical for me as I'm an offroad only guy...but I love my sons ee5, and I'd own an EMX if the price came down, and the range came up.  Or...if my riding preference changed.

Bryan,

I have one question:

WHY AREN'T YOU ON THE TRACK ALREADY?!?!

I couldn't resist waiting to test a new bike...

I would be, but the startup company i work for recently got acquired by a massive, global company, and I'm insanely busy managing the transition of the data systems i develop into their ecosystem. My career is very important to me and unfortunately i can't afford to take time off midweek right now to go riding. So its a sweet opportunity but less than ideal for my hobby life at the moment. Priorities.

Is the red  of the Varg a match to the Honda red hand guards ?  Or maybe more of a gasgas red ? UFO has Gasgas red hand guards. Hard to tell from the photo if the reds are the same or not.

I was not being a dick when asking or nit picking. I have a Varg that I'll be making graphics for so I was just wondering. The Varg I'll be doing first is grey so it really doesn't matter yet. But I would like to have an idea if I have to work out a new red color dedicated for Vargs.

No, it isn't disingenuous, and I'm curious how someone who hasn't even ridden the Stark yet feels qualified to tell me that it is so?  I've ridden the Stark, Alta, 450s, 250s (2 and 4 stroke), and 125s, I think I can probably give a pretty realistic interpretation of how the weight feels vs what it reads on the scale.

The scale does matter though, right? If it didn't matter, why publish it at all?  That's my point.  Trying to diminish the reality of the weight on the scale with "it doesn't feel that heavy on the track", though common in biased bike reviews since 4 strokes took over (and when 450's weighed ALMOST as much as the stark does-with a full tank of fuel), is still disingenuous.

I'm not trying to say anything negative about the Stark...I'm just saying...that thing is 10% heavier than a 450...that's a lot!  No need to try and skirt that issue...it is what it is...doesn't mean the bike isn't awesome...doesn't mean the bike doesn't handle amazing...it just means its a lot heavier than a 450.

450's are a lot heavier than 125's...but they are still great bikes...the varg is a lot heavier than a 450...it can still be a great bike.

Regrettably NO! I’ve had it one week today, and I have glide plate, radiator braces backgrounds and a few other accessories on the way now. I started pulling it apart and servicing the linkage, steering bearings, check/torque all the fasteners etc…its disappointing that the OEM’s only put enough grease in during assembly to prevent them from rusting on the boat ride here! All just part of the “new bike drill” for me! 🤪

(EDIT : I have ridden a 2023 YZ450f recently at my local MX track, hence the reason I decided it was definitely time to sell the older 450 and do whatever I needed to get the newest YZ450!)

A lot of riding a dirt bike is stopping that dirt bike, & 260 lbs, regardless of the propulsion method is still 260 lbs.

It makes sense that turning it into a corner would require less effort without all that spinning engine & drive system mass, but you gotta stop it 1st.  I have an early order on one in, but I'm currently more than a bit conflicted about taking delivery as our riding is stopping, starting, twisting & turning all day long on fairly technical single track trail, it's a lot different than an MX track.

Heading to Barona Oaks tomorrow for the first ride on my Varg!

To a certain extent, I don't envy you.

I think you might well be the center of attention and be inundated with questions and "looky lews". Hopefully, no f'wits being, well, f'wits.

Have fun - that's what it's all about.

People that are assholes online are usually to chicken shit to back it up in person. I bet he’ll have tons of people stoked to see it.   Vital is not a good representation of the moto community.
